At the Jewish Museum Berlin, we were tasked with applying film to four double doors to darken them for a special exhibition. After consulting with the client, it was found that there was also a need for temperature reduction, which is why we recommended the use of a solar control film from the 3M Prestige series. Before applying the film, the corresponding areas were checked by 3M through the GlassCheck, which ensures the suitability of the desired film for the windows. As a 3M Select Partner, we can use this verification to guarantee the film’s warranty. A certain challenge was the transom of the double door, where the glass has both curved and straight edges. Edge bonding is not necessary for the Prestige series solar control film.
