Plasterboard is widely used, but it is only suitable if it has been skim-coated over the entire surface, primed, and allowed to dry.<\/p>\n
Untreated panels, or those with spot-filled areas only, can absorb moisture, potentially leading to discoloration or detachment.<\/p>\n
Uniform, smooth surfaces are crucial for wall printing and film application.<\/p>\n
Plaster and masonry (Poroton, Ytong, sand-lime brick)<\/h3>\n
Each type of stone has its own properties: Ytong is highly absorbent, sand-lime brick is relatively dense, and Poroton is porous.<\/p>\n
Therefore, even plastering and priming are important.<\/p>\n
Loose, sandy, or unevenly textured surfaces must be consolidated to achieve clean printing or adhesion results.<\/p>\n
Concrete and exposed concrete<\/h3>\n
Concrete generally offers excellent bonding conditions\u2014provided it is dry, clean, and free of formwork oil or release agents.<\/p>\n
However, adhesion may be limited on sealed exposed concrete surfaces. In such cases, applying a test sample or performing a tack test is recommended to verify the bond strength.<\/p>\n
Composite panels, wood, and MDF<\/h3>\n
Lacquered, foil-wrapped, or coated panels require special preparation:<\/p>\n

c) Wall printing \/ Direct printing<\/strong><\/p>\n
With wall printing, the image is printed directly onto the prepared wall or onto wallpaper installed by us. This direct printing method produces vibrant, durable results and creates a particularly authentic look and feel.<\/p>\n
Depending on the substrate, the texture can be deliberately used as a design element.<\/p>\n
Adhesion, durability, and removability<\/h2>\n

For long-term projects\u2014such as interior fit-outs, public spaces, or showrooms\u2014we use materials with strong adhesion or UV-resistant inks. These applications are exceptionally durable but should only be installed on suitable, stable substrates.<\/p>\n
Temporary application \u2013 residue-free removal<\/h3>\n
Short-term applications are frequently required in event, trade fair, or gallery settings. In these cases, we use removable materials that\u2014provided the substrate is suitable\u2014can be taken off without leaving a residue. Nevertheless, a residual technical risk remains, such as the possibility of adhesive residue or slight paint detachment.<\/p>\n
Adhesion optimization with primer<\/h3>\n
For surfaces that are difficult to bond to or highly absorbent, a primer (adhesion promoter) can be used. It improves adhesion and ensures a uniform bond between the material and the wall. This measure is optional and is charged as an additional service.<\/p>\n
Sample application and tack test<\/h2>\n
To objectively assess the suitability of a substrate, we can carry out a test application upon request. This involves applying the intended material to a small area to verify its actual adhesion performance.<\/p>\n
In addition, we offer the tack test:<\/strong><\/p>\n
Adhesive strength is measured in Newtons (N) using a digital measuring device\u2014both immediately after application and after a defined dwell time. This measurement provides a precise assessment of how adhesion develops and serves as an important quality assurance tool.<\/p>\n
Both methods are highly recommended for high-quality surfaces, new paint systems, or unknown wall coatings.<\/p>\n
Dependence on intermediate inputs<\/h2>\n
Walls are often prepared in advance by other trades\u2014such as painters, drywall installers, or plasterers. We cannot accept liability for defects resulting from surfaces that are insufficiently dry, not fully cured, or improperly primed.<\/p>\n
Likewise, we assume no liability for residual moisture, cracks, or loose layers of paint that subsequently lead to detachment. Responsibility for adhering to drying times and standards regarding the substrate lies with the client or the trades responsible for preparatory work.<\/p>\n
Residual risk due to technical factors<\/h2>\n
Despite the utmost care, substrate inspection, and material selection, a residual technical risk remains. Adhesive residues, paint detachment, or minor surface damage can never be completely ruled out given the thousands of different wall constructions.<\/p>\n
These effects do not constitute grounds for a complaint but are inherent to the physical properties of the material. We therefore strongly recommend applying a test sample\u2014optionally including a tack test\u2014to objectively evaluate adhesion and removability beforehand.<\/p>\n
