By notch-grooving, the paper is weakened at the fold lines, preventing it from breaking or the color from peeling off during folding. This technique is particularly used for materials with a higher grammage (from 170 g/m²) to fold the paper cleanly and professionally. Classic examples of applications include folders, binders, 4-page postcards, and business cards.

Our Notch-Grooving Technique:
When notch-grooving, a minimal amount of material is removed from the material. This weakens the product at the fold edge and prevents it from breaking or tearing during folding. However, the printed color is also lost at this point.
