This clear, lightweight material is hard like glass but shatterproof. Ideal for advertising, signs and art. Weatherproof, durable and versatile. Perfect for indoor and outdoor use.

  • Acrylic sheets, also known as acrylic glass or PLEXIGLAS®, are plastic panels made of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). They are a popular alternative to glass because they are lighter, more shatter-resistant, and more versatile, while still offering high transparency and optical quality. Available in various different versions.
  • Clear: For applications requiring high transparency.
  • Colored: Available in numerous colors and surface textures.
  • Frosted: For light diffusion and decorative purposes.
  • Mirror acrylic: Acrylic sheets with reflective coating.

 

Characteristics:

  • High transparency: Light transmission up to 92%, clearer than conventional glass.
  • Low weight: About half the weight of glass with comparable strength.
  • Break resistance: Significantly more resistant to breakage than glass.
  • Weather resistance: UV-stable and yellowing-resistant, ideal for outdoor use.
  • Thermoplastic: Can be shaped and processed by heating.
  • Surface: More sensitive to scratches than glass, but can be optimized with coatings (e.g. anti-scratch coating).
  • Chemical resistance: Resistant to many chemicals but sensitive to solvents.
