Building Identification & Wayfinding
On expansive premises, in multi-story buildings, and in outdoor areas, destinations and routes must be quickly identifiable. Based on existing wayfinding and signage concepts, we manufacture and install signage, guidance systems, and markings for both indoor and outdoor areas.
Challenges in Building Signage and Wayfinding
Multiple buildings, floors, entrances, and functional areas must be linked into a cohesive wayfinding system. Signage must be highly visible, clearly assigned, and executed consistently across various materials. Outdoor applications involve factors such as weather conditions and long viewing distances, whereas indoor settings require consideration of changing room uses and limited mounting surfaces. Precise implementation of the existing concept is crucial to ensure that all elements work together reliably in their designated locations.
Solutions
We advise on technical implementation and, upon agreement, take care of measurements, sampling, production and assembly. Building and facade labels, pylons, entrance, floor, door and room signs, elevator signage, Floor markings, Parking space markings and illuminated facilities. Also safety, escape route or Braille markings can be implemented according to existing specifications. We provide support with the application process; our trained personnel can handle the planning for aerial work platforms and lifting equipment.
Applications
During the project Achterdeck We labeled eight houses, each with four floors inside and out - including floor names, door labels, exterior signage and underground parking. For Möbel Hübner Elevator signage and interchangeable overview plans for twelve floors were created. In the Buxtehude City Library we created guidance systems, department labels and signs for indoor and outdoor areas. For large format orientation on the floor and wall Stenciling is also possible.
