Project:
Exhibition “Haut, Stein” in Weimar
Tasks:
Print production and installation of exhibition elements
Material:
Large-format aluminum composite panels with matte laminated self-adhesive film and latex printing
Execution:
The traveling exhibition "Haut, Stein" by Jakob Ganslmeier addresses the handling of Nazi symbols in architecture and tattoo art, such as ornaments on buildings and former neo-Nazis who, in the course of their exit from the scene, had their ideological tattoos removed. Portraits of the defectors and black-and-white photographs of buildings with Nazi symbols were printed by us using the latex printing process and mounted on large, weather-resistant aluminum composite panels.
All panels were then riveted onto modular steel frames in Weimar. As the exhibition will travel to different locations, the aluminum composite panels are segmented and mounted so the steel frames can be easily disassembled and reassembled.
